KADAC, the acronym for our District Arts Council, is a co-ordinating body comprised of private individuals and nearly twenty affiliated organisations interested and involved in cultural activity within Kiama Municipality.
Our objectives are:-
1. To improve communication between groups and individuals of the various forms of the Arts in Kiama and to expand their involvement at the local level.
2. To represent local interests at the various levels of Government when and where appropriate;
3. To act as a support organisation to assist with the provision of:- Resources and Finance, Insurance coverage and access to professional expertise, e.g., workshops, speakers etc.
4. To expand the range and quality of artistic pursuits available within the Municipality;
5. To raise community awareness of the quality and diversity of entertainment and exhibitions available;
6. To investigate the provision of a suitable major permanent venue or a series of small diversified venues for the staging of quality performances and exhibitions within the Municipality.
